In this section, we will go over how to properly setup a static IP address on the CaptureCast Link. 


  1. The CaptureCast Link will be displaying the configuration page in full screen mode. 
  2. Press F11 key to exit full screen.
  3. Navigate to the upper right hand corner of the screen and right click on the 2 computer icon or the Ethernet cable plugged into wall icon that is displaying.
    1. If connecting to Wireless (Wi-Fi) network.
      1. Select your SSID Wireless name from the list or select Connect to a Hidden Wi-Fi network if your SSID is not broadcasting.
      2. Once the CaptureCast Link successfully connects to the network the icon will change from 2 computersto 4 network bars.
      3. Click on the network bars icon and select Edit Connections.
      4. Select your Wi-Fi network from the list and click the Edit button.
      5. Select the IPv4 Settings tab.
      6. Click on the Method drop down menu and select Manual.
      7. Under the Addresses click on the Add button.
      8. Enter in the network settings given to you by your network system administrator (IP address, Netmask and Gateway) and click Add.
      9. Entering in a DNS server may be optional.
      10. Click Save and then Close on the following window. 

         
    2. If connecting to Wired network.
      1. Click on the Ethernet cable plugged into wall icon and select Edit Connections.
      2. Select your Wired network from the list and click the Edit button.
      3. Select the IPv4 Settings tab.
      4. Click on the Method drop down menu and select Manual.
      5. Under the Addresses click on the Add button.
      6. Enter in the network settings given to you by your network system administrator (IP address, Netmask and Gateway) and click Add.
      7. Entering in a DNS server may be optional.
      8. Click Save and then Close on the following window.
